# AI3D API v2 model: tripo-image-to-multiview

Generate four directional images from one source image with Tripo's image-to-multiview operation.

- AI3D model ID: `tripo-image-to-multiview`
- Task: `image_to_multiview`
- Provider endpoint: Tripo v3 `POST /generation/image-to-multiview`
- Availability: listed in `GET /v2/models` when `TRIPO_API` is configured.
- Source: required top-level `image_url` (public HTTPS PNG, JPEG, or WebP). For a local image, use `POST /v2/uploads` and pass its returned `image_url`.
- Pricing: 10 Tripo credits per job (AI3D prices 100 Tripo credits at $1.00); the provider-reported usage is charged after completion.

The source subject should be clearly visible against a clean background. AI3D returns `202 Accepted`; poll `GET /v2/jobs/{job_id}` until the job is terminal. On success, download the archived directional images listed in `artifacts`. The provider output contains `front_view_url`, `left_view_url`, `back_view_url`, and `right_view_url`; AI3D preserves the direction in each archived filename. When the job is publicly viewable, `viewer_url` opens Viewern with a grid and a virtual camera-frustum preview of the four images.

Use the same idempotency key when safely retrying a timed-out create request. A `submission_unknown` job may already have been accepted by Tripo and must be reconciled before resubmitting.
